Superfood Tuesday with Greta!

Looking for a way to make your meals power packed with nutrients without compromising flavor? Look no further, we’ve got you covered! Every week will feature a new superfood, sharing its benefits and easy ways to incorporate them into your diet!

HEMP SEEDS:

Hemps seeds come from the hemp plant. They have a mild nutty flavor and can be added in to almost anything.

Health benefits of this superfood include:

  • Omega 3 fatty acids which are important for memory and the overall health of the brain.

  • Contains GLA (Gamma-linolenic acid), an omega 6 fatty acid which helps fight inflammation in the body. Your body cannot produce it on its own, so it has to be taken in through food.

  • Helps keep your gut healthy by feeding the good bacteria.

  • Contains important minerals such as Zinc, Magnesium and Iron.

  • Amino acids make this a good source of protein. Two tablespoons gives you 5 grams!

  • Great source of Vitamin E.

You can easily incorporate them into your diet by adding them into:

  • Smoothies

  • Salads

  • Soups

  • Stirfrys

  • Scrambled eggs

  • Nut butters
