A staff favorite!
Servings: About 10.5 servings (4 pretzel bites) or 1 bag of pretzels
Ingredients:
● 1 bag of gluten-free pretzels (Simply Nature grain-free cassava pretzels)
● 1 1⁄2 bags of chocolate chips of choice (Choc Zero’s milk, white or dark chocolate chips)
● Almond butter or nut butter of choice (Simply Nature, Kirkland, Sunbutter)
Instructions:
● Line two cookie sheets with parchment paper.
● In a small frying pan, melt 3/4 cup of chocolate chips on low heat, stir continuously to keep from burning.
● Turn off burner.
● Toss a few pretzels in the pan, use a tong to flip and coat them.
● Use a rubber spatula to scrape the sides of pan to help coat pretzels.
● Place coated pretzels on the cookie sheet.
● Once chocolate is used up in the pan, add another 3⁄4 cup of chocolate chips.
● Repeat the same process until all of chocolate chips are used up.
● Place the cookie sheets in the freezer.
● Allow chocolate to harden for at least a half hour.
● Have almond butter ready to go with a spoon.
● Take pretzels out of freezer and flip them over.
● Spoon a teaspoon of almond butter onto the back of a pretzel and place another pretzel back to back with that one.
● Repeat until all pretzels are used.
● Place pretzels back in freezer for at least an hour.
● Take pretzels out and serve!
Notes:
● If using dark chocolate, use a half tablespoon of coconut oil to help thin it out.
● Can add chopped nuts to pretzels when dipping.
● Store pretzels in fridge.
